Trump presume de su amistad con Macri y dice que es un gran líder (fotos)

El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, presumió hoy de su amistad con su homólogo argentino, Mauricio Macri, a quien recibió en el Despacho Oval y de quien dijo que es “un gran líder”, en el marco de una reunión diseñada para fortalecer la relación bilateral, reseña Efe.

A su llegada a la Casa Blanca, Trump recibió a Macri fuera del ala oeste, le dio la mano e intercambió unas palabras con él lejos de los micrófonos.





Ambos se fotografiaron junto a sus esposas, Melania Trump, vestida con un traje de chaqueta verde caqui, y Juliana Awada, con un traje rojo vibrante.

Los cuatro ingresaron después en el edificio y las cámaras captaron cómo los dos mandatarios se daban palmadas en la espalda.

Los mandatarios y sus esposas se trasladaron después al Despacho Oval, desde donde Trump ofreció unas breves declaraciones ante los periodistas.

“Me siento muy cómodo apoyándolo (a Macri) porque sé a quién apoyo. Estoy respaldando a un hombre que ama a su pueblo y ama a su país”, enfatizó Trump.

Macri y Trump se conocen desde hace varios años por negocios relacionados con el grupo del padre del mandatario argentino, el empresario italiano Franco Macri.

Preguntado sobre el tema de las importaciones de limones argentinos, suspendidas temporalmente por su Gobierno en enero pasado, Trump afirmó que realizará “una consideración muy seria” del reclamo de Buenos Aires para que ese veto se levante.

Tras su reunión en el Despacho Oval, los dos mandatarios celebraron un almuerzo de trabajo con sus respectivas delegaciones y al inicio Trump anunció un acuerdo con Macri para crear un grupo de trabajo bilateral sobre asuntos cibernéticos, orientado a “proteger los intereses económicos y de seguridad” de ambos países.

Macri, por su parte, recordó los “inexplicables desencuentros” vividos entre los dos países, al asegurar que es “un momento maravilloso” para fortalecer y profundizar los lazos bilaterales, reseñó EFE.
